Home made Hummus – Bafana

 

Ingredients Needed :

  • 1 can chickpeas,
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice,
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves,
  • 1 tsp ground cumin,
  • I pinch  salt,
  • 1 tablespoon tahini (sesame seed paste),
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil,
  • 4 tablespoons water if paste is dry

Method :

  1. Firstly drain the chickpea water or juice.
  2. Blend all ingredients well till a nice thick cream paste is created 
  3. If paste too think gradually add a Tablespoon of water

Serving suggestions:

You can use this as a dip or as a spread on toast
